Most medical templates assume you are booking appointments and nothing else. Medcity instead ships product listing, product detail and cart layouts next to the departments and doctor pages. Consequently a pharmacy, an optician or a clinic that sells supplements can run one site rather than bolting a store onto a brochure. However, the shop is front-end only, so real selling needs a backend or an ecommerce service behind it.
Three homepage concepts
The template offers three distinct home layouts rather than three recolours, and the header carries a 24/7 emergency bar, an emergency phone line, opening hours and a prominent appointment button. Moreover, the departments menu is built as a mega menu, which suits a hospital with many specialities. As a result the navigation scales past the handful of pages that smaller templates assume.
Bootstrap 4 and what that means in 2026
Medcity is built on Bootstrap 4 with plain HTML5 and CSS3. Therefore any front-end developer can work on it immediately, and it uploads to any hosting with no build step. However, Bootstrap 4 is now two major versions behind, and the last update landed in March 2023. In addition, the newer templates in this collection – Hospil on Bootstrap 5, ClinicMaster on Tailwind – are on more current foundations.
