What an affiliate link is

How this affects what we publish

• We choose what to review before we check whether a programme exists. A product with no affiliate programme can still be recommended, and often is.
• Ratings, pros and cons come from using the product and from the vendor’s published data, not from commission rates.
• We say when something is outdated, abandoned or a bad fit, even when the vendor pays a commission.
• Prices and plan details are correct on the day we publish or update a page. Vendors change them, so always check the vendor’s own pricing page before you buy.

Advertising

Some pages on this site are promoted through paid advertising, including Google Ads. Advertising brings visitors to a page; it does not change what the page says about a product.
