Should you still buy the BizSearch Drupal theme?
Probably not. BizSearch from symphonythemes is a directory theme with Leaflet maps, facet search and a review system, and ThemeForest still sells it for $58. However, its compatibility list stops at Drupal 7.4x, and Drupal 7 reached end of life in January 2025. The last update landed on 27 April 2020, the demo subdomain is offline, and symphonythemes no longer lists the theme on its own site.
Best for: an existing Drupal 7 directory site that needs a drop-in theme, not a new build
The BizSearch Drupal theme from symphonythemes was built as the successor to BizReview, the best-selling directory theme in the ThemeForest Drupal category. Moreover, it kept the same idea: a business directory with map search, ratings and no extra module licences. However, development stopped in 2020, so read this one as a record rather than a recommendation.
What the theme actually does
BizSearch runs a directory on facet search. Autocomplete suggests entries as visitors type, and facet criteria narrow the results without a page reload. In addition, you can create any number of categories and subcategories as the directory grows.
Every listing is placed on the map by its address. The listing page itself opens with a large banner image, so businesses get room to present themselves. Furthermore, users can vote for favourites and leave comments, which turns the site into a community rather than a static index.
A Leaflet map, not Google Maps
The map is built on Leaflet with more than ten map layers. Markers carry FontAwesome icons, and clustering keeps dense areas readable. Therefore you avoid a Google Maps API key and the billing account that comes with it.
Under the hood the theme leans on two well-known contributed modules: IP Geolocation & Map from RdeBoer, and Search API from Drunken Monkey. As a result, the search and map behaviour is standard Drupal work rather than a private implementation.

Why we no longer recommend it
The compatibility list on ThemeForest names one platform: Drupal 7.4x. Drupal 7 reached end of life in January 2025, so it receives no further security coverage from the project. On top of that, the last update landed on 27 April 2020.
We also checked the author’s own site on 17 September 2026. The directory section of symphonythemes.com lists two themes, Listiry and BizReview, and BizSearch is not among them. Its demo subdomain answers with the hosting default page as well. So the theme is still on sale, yet nobody is looking after it.
Sales, rating and price
BizSearch has 152 sales and a 3.33 rating. Only three buyers rated it, so treat that score as a small sample rather than a verdict. The regular licence costs $58, which is the same price symphonythemes asks for BizReview.

Our verdict on BizSearch
Treat BizSearch as a Drupal 7 artefact. The directory engine was good, and it still is if you run Drupal 7 today and want a tidy reskin.
