Looking for OpenCart supermarket themes that still get updates in 2026? We first published this list in 2020 with a single theme, Flipmart. This week we checked 28 live OpenCart grocery, organic and supermarket themes on ThemeForest. We also found eight older picks from our site that have left ThemeForest. Four live themes fell below a 4.0 rating, and most of the rest last changed between 2018 and early 2024. Eight themes made the cut: three themes updated in 2026, two earlier reviews now listing OpenCart 4, and three OpenCart 3 themes with a clear warning.

How to choose OpenCart supermarket themes

Start with the platform version. If you plan to run OpenCart 4, check that the Software Version field lists 4.0.x, not just the title. In addition, note that OpenCart 3 received later 3.0.4.x and 3.0.5.0 releases, so a listing that stops at 3.0.3.x may lag behind. Then look at the grocery details: weight options, cash on delivery and a mega menu for hundreds of categories.

Next, compare the last update with the rating and the number of sales. A 5.00 from four buyers says less than a 4.61 from ninety-three. Finally, open the demo and add a product to the cart before you buy.

Grocery and organic picks updated in 2026

Grocery from InspireTemplate has the most sales in this list, 796, at a 4.61 rating from 93 reviews. It lists OpenCart 4.0.x and 3.0.x and handles weight options such as 500 g and 1 kg. Cash on delivery, guest checkout and free installation come with it. As of 11 September 2026 it is on sale for $21, down from a regular $35.

Flavero from eptheme holds a 4.82 rating from 22 reviews, the highest of the three themes we newly reviewed. In addition, its demo page shows five layouts for organic food stores, one of them for OpenCart 4. ThemeForest lists a last update on 7 March 2026, although the public changelog ends with version 2.0.7 from 10 November 2022. The price is $34.

FreshGo, also from eptheme, has the lowest regular price in this list at $29. It offers five demo layouts, Ajax live search, a mega menu and RTL support. However, its OpenCart 4 status is unclear: the description names 4.0.x, while the Software Version field lists only 3.0.x. ThemeForest shows an update on 25 February 2026, but the public changelog stops in October 2022.

Earlier reviews now listing OpenCart 4

Flipmart from MahardhiThemes is the one theme the 2020 version of this list included, and it now lists OpenCart 4.0.x and 3.0.x. Its six multipurpose layouts come with Ajax search, quick view and a deal of the day block. Moreover, the description names grocery, fruit and vegetable stores among its targets. It rates 5.00, though from only nine reviews, and MahardhiThemes updated it on 1 November 2025.

Food from MahardhiThemes targets fruit, vegetable, organic and grocery stores. Furthermore, it lists OpenCart 4.0.x and 3.0.x, with Ajax search, quick view, a sticky menu and a deal of the day block. Its 5.00 rating comes from just four reviews and 63 sales, and the last update dates from 12 April 2025. It costs $36.

Proven picks for existing OpenCart 3 stores

Glorious from TemplateMela has 705 sales at a 4.50 rating from 46 reviews. It ships nine to eleven layouts for food, fashion and electronics stores, without core modifications. TemplateMela last updated it on 7 September 2021, and the Software Version field stops at OpenCart 3.0.3.x. So consider it only for an existing OpenCart 3 store, at $39.

SuperMarket from Magentech carries the niche in its name and adds 3+ mobile layouts on top of its responsive design. It holds a 4.23 rating from 13 reviews and 246 sales. On the downside, Magentech has not updated it since 29 December 2020, and it lists OpenCart only up to 3.0.3.x. Expect to pay $49.

Ecolife from posthemes covers organic food, cosmetics and multipurpose stores in one OpenCart theme. Buyers rate it 4.43 from seven reviews, with 148 sales. The last update came on 16 June 2022, and the Software Version field stops at OpenCart 3.0.3.x. Therefore, treat it as an OpenCart 3 option at $48.

Which OpenCart supermarket theme should you pick?

Running a supermarket with home delivery? Grocery has the most sales in our list and weight options, and it is on sale for $21 as of 11 September 2026 (regular $35). Selling organic food? Flavero rates 4.82 from 22 reviews, while FreshGo has the lowest regular price at $29. Want six layouts on OpenCart 4? Start with Flipmart, or pick Food for a small fresh produce shop.
