How to choose a multilingual WordPress theme

To begin with, WordPress does not translate a site on its own. In most cases, a plugin such as WPML or Polylang does that job. So, the theme only has to work well with that plugin.

First, check which plugin the item page names. For example, some themes are certified by WPML, while others list Polylang too. Second, look for translation files. WPML certified WooCommerce themes

First, these two shop themes go a step further than a plain WPML note. Both item pages say the theme is certified by WPML.

WoodMart is the best seller on this page, with 119,791 sales. Its ThemeForest page says the theme is WPML Officially Certified for multilingual stores. In addition, it lists 37 languages with predefined translations. It holds a 4.91 rating, the highest here, across 3,683 ratings. The last update came on 6 October 2026, and it costs $69.

Savoy is a minimalist AJAX shop theme with 16,873 sales. According to its item page, it is certified and listed in the WPML directory of recommended themes. Also, the page notes better WPML support for its wishlist. It holds a 4.82 rating. The last update came on 9 October 2026, and it costs $79.

Multilingual themes that also name Polylang

Next, these four name Polylang next to WPML. So, you can pick the free plugin first and move to WPML later.

Eduma is an education and LMS theme with 47,658 sales. Its item page says it supports many languages with WPML, Polylang and qTranslate. Besides, the page promises full RTL support. It holds a 4.82 rating. The last update came on 22 September 2026, and it costs $63.

ArcHub is built for architects and interior designers. Its item page names WPML, qTranslate, Loco and Polylang as supported translation plugins. It holds a 4.70 rating across 5,524 sales. However, its last update came on 18 March 2026, the oldest on this page. It costs $59.

Event Champ is a theme for conferences and multiple events. Its item page lists multilingual compatibility with WPML and Polylang. It holds a 4.63 rating across 5,255 sales. The last update came on 26 September 2026, and it costs $79.

Sierra is the newest theme here, released three years ago for SaaS and tech startups. Its item page names WPML, Polylang and Loco Translate. Moreover, it says posts, menus and widgets can be translated without code. It holds a 4.74 rating across 4,290 sales. The last update came on 9 October 2026, and it costs $69.

Multilingual themes for business, real estate, news and SaaS

These four cover a property agency, a consulting firm, a news site and a SaaS product. Each one names WPML on its item page.

WP Residence is a real estate theme with 32,702 sales. According to its item page, it has been officially tested with Weglot and WPML. In addition, it can be translated with standard .po and .mo files. It holds a 4.84 rating. The last update came on 21 September 2026, and it costs $79.

Consulting is a business and finance theme with 30,232 sales. Its item page calls it WPML and translation ready, with .pot files for custom translations. It holds a 4.74 rating. However, its listing stops at WordPress 6.9.x, while the other eleven name 7.0.x. The last update came on 7 October 2026, and it costs $69.

Foxiz is a news and magazine theme. Its item page lists WPML and WPGlobus support. Also, it mentions a quick translation panel and Loco Translate. It holds a 4.87 rating across 8,763 sales. The last update came on 13 September 2026, and it costs $59.

Saasland is a SaaS and startup theme with 8,859 sales. Its item page promises full multilingual support through WPML. In fact, the page says all of its Elementor widgets are now WPML friendly. It holds a 4.49 rating, the lowest on this page. The last update came on 18 June 2026, and it costs $59.

Multilingual medical themes

Finally, these two suit clinics and doctors who serve patients in more than one language.

MediCenter is a clinic theme with 12,726 sales. Its item page says it is compatible with WPML for multilingual websites. It is also the oldest theme here, released 13 years ago. It holds a 4.57 rating. The last update came on 11 September 2026, and it costs $79.

Medicare is a theme for doctors and healthcare sites. Its item page lists WPML and says the theme is translation ready. It holds a 4.68 rating across 8,011 sales. The last update came on 15 June 2026, and it costs $69.
