Looking for minimalist WordPress themes that someone still maintains in 2026? We last refreshed this list in 2021, so this week we opened all 55 entries on their marketplaces and checked price, sales, rating and last update. Six themes had been removed from ThemeForest, and two more no longer appear in its search. In addition, four were already retired on our site, and we dropped 21 more for low ratings, stale updates, small sales records, unverifiable links or a design that is not really minimal. We also merged our older 2018 list of 16 themes into this page. In the end, 26 curated themes remain for shops, portfolios and blogs.

How to choose minimalist WordPress themes

Minimalist design is about what you leave out. Look for white space, one or two typefaces and a small colour palette. So first decide what the site must do: sell products, show a portfolio or publish long posts. That choice narrows the list quickly. In addition, a minimal WordPress theme follows the same idea, so every pick here fits both terms.

Most WordPress minimalist themes then differ in upkeep. Check three facts on the item page: the last update, the Software Version field and the rating against the number of sales. For example, a 5.00 from three buyers says less than a 4.83 from five hundred. Finally, confirm the page builder, because Elementor, WPBakery and the block editor work very differently.

Best-selling minimal WooCommerce themes

Savoy from NordicMade pairs a quiet, minimalist storefront with a fully AJAX shop. Filters, add-to-cart and search all update without page reloads. In fact, it holds 16,829 sales at a 4.83 rating, the largest shop record in this list. Version 3.2.2 shipped on 7 September 2026 with WordPress 7.0 support, so it suits furniture, decor and lifestyle stores that want a proven base. It costs $79.

Sober from uixthemes ships 16 minimal homepages with thin type and pale backgrounds, in Elementor and WPBakery versions. It holds 10,419 sales at a 4.75 rating. On top of that, version 3.6.6 from 10 August 2026 is ready for WordPress 7.1. It costs $59, the same as Konte from the same author, but Sober offers more homepages to start from.

Goya from everthemess costs $29 and has 10,008 sales at a 4.63 rating. Its clean, modern layouts keep product photos in focus, and a header builder shapes the top bar without code. Note, however, that the item lists WPBakery as its page builder, not Elementor. everthemess updated it on 6 September 2026 with WordPress 7.0 support, so it suits small stores on a tight budget.

Highly rated clean shop themes

Konte from uixthemes rates 4.81 across 6,895 sales, higher than Sober from the same author. Its minimal, editorial shop layouts keep decoration to a minimum, and the header and footer change without code. Better still, the item lists both Elementor and WPBakery. uixthemes updated it on 10 August 2026 with WordPress 7.0 support, and it costs $59.

Claue from JanStudio has the highest rating among the shop themes in this list: 4.93 across 3,414 sales. It pairs a clean, minimal look with fashion tools such as colour swatches, a lookbook and product video thumbnails. Elementor and WPBakery are both supported. However, the last update came on 15 November 2025, and the listing stops at WordPress 6.8. It costs $69.

Aurum from Laborator is a minimalist WooCommerce theme with 7,295 sales at a 4.76 rating. Its clean catalog layouts suit boutiques, bookshops and jewellery stores. ThemeForest shows an update on 11 September 2026. Still, the listing stops at WordPress 6.5 and WooCommerce 8, and Laborator’s own page shows version 4.0.1 from November 2024. It costs $99 on ThemeForest, so check the changelog first.

More quiet storefronts

Unero from drfuri is a minimalist AJAX WooCommerce theme with 2,300 sales at a 4.65 rating. Its product-first layouts suit fashion, furniture and decor stores. The author updated it on 4 September 2026, but the Software Version field still stops at WordPress 6.8. So test it on a staging site before launch. It costs $59.

Stockie comes from colabrio, the author of Ohio, and offers clean, minimal shop layouts for decor, fashion, furniture and single-product stores. It holds 2,685 sales at a 4.78 rating. Also, colabrio updated it on 22 August 2026 with WordPress 7.0 support. It includes Figma source files, while page building relies on WPBakery. It costs $59.

Airi from LA-Studio is a minimal WooCommerce theme with a quiet, product-focused design. It holds 996 sales at a 4.64 rating, and LA-Studio updated it on 13 May 2026. However, the listing stops at WordPress 6.9, and page building relies on Visual Composer. At $49 it has the second-lowest price among the shop themes here.

Minimalist WordPress themes for portfolios and studios

Karbon from CaliberThemes is a minimal Elementor portfolio theme with a dark homepage built from simple geometric shapes. Six homepage variants and a set of single project pages import in one click. CaliberThemes updated it on 10 September 2026 with WordPress 7.0 support. However, it launched in late 2025 and has 64 sales and three ratings. At $39 it shares the lowest portfolio price here with Arter.

Kalium began as a minimalist portfolio theme, and Laborator rebuilt it as Kalium 4 outside ThemeForest. According to Laborator, the new version loads about 50% lighter and supports Gutenberg, Elementor and WPBakery. It also ships 28+ starter sites, and version 4.7 arrived on 25 August 2026. Laborator reports a 4.95 average rating from 2,500+ reviews, and licences start at $59 per year.

Sixten from VLThemes is a minimalist portfolio theme for artists, designers and creative agencies. It holds 1,343 sales at a 4.81 rating, and the listing covers WordPress 7.0. The item also lists Bootstrap 5 compatibility. However, the last update arrived on 9 January 2025, so check the changelog before you buy. It costs $69.

Bauen from webRedox is a minimal, clean theme for architects, interior studios and furniture brands. It holds 3,042 sales at a 4.74 rating. Besides, it builds on Elementor and offers one-page and multi-page layouts. webRedox updated it on 1 September 2026 with WordPress 7.0 support, so a theme first released in 2021 still runs current code. It costs $69.

Monogram keeps a personal portfolio plain and dark, then adds app-like page transitions with Barba.js and GSAP. Optional Algolia search helps if the archive grows. It costs $59 and was updated on 10 September 2026.

Creative themes with a restrained core

Uncode from Undsgn has the largest record in this list: 138,200 sales at a 4.89 rating. Its clean layouts and adaptive images suit portfolios, studios and shops that want space around their work. Undsgn updated it on 1 September 2026 with WordPress 7.0 support. The demo library also spans creative, portfolio, blog, shop and agency concepts. It costs $59.

Ohio from colabrio holds 22,361 sales at a 4.85 rating. It covers portfolio, creative showcase, blog and shop briefs with a deliberately minimal design. colabrio updated it on 7 September 2026 with WordPress 7.0 support. However, ThemeForest lists it as an Elementor theme while the description still mentions WPBakery, so confirm the builder first. It costs $69.

Airtifact from VanKarWai is a creative portfolio theme with its own lightweight content builder instead of Elementor or WPBakery. It rates 4.83 across 1,282 sales, and VanKarWai updated it on 20 August 2026 with WordPress 7.0 support. Pages load through AJAX, while projects sit in masonry, Isotope or Packery grids. At $97, though, it costs more than most themes here.

Arter from bslthemes is a personal portfolio and resume theme for developers, designers and freelancers. It rates 4.91 across 913 sales, one of the highest scores in this list. bslthemes updated it on 27 May 2026 with WordPress 7.0 support. It also runs on Elementor and offers one-page and multi-page resume layouts, and it costs $39.

Newer agency and photography portfolios

Kraft from NAAPO is a minimalist agency and portfolio theme released in 2026. It ships nine multipage homepages, three one-page demos and light and dark versions. It still bundles WPBakery and Revolution Slider, which few new themes do. However, it has 19 sales and no rating yet, and the last update arrived on 26 June 2026. It costs $59.

Boyc from Case-Themes is an agency and portfolio theme with a light grey grid, thin lines and bold black type. It ships three agency homepages, each in a multipage and a one-page version, all built with Elementor. Better still, Case-Themes updated it on 7 September 2026. So far it has 27 sales and a 5.00 rating from three reviews. It costs $49.

Photogam from kwst is a photography portfolio theme with matching dark and light versions, built on Elementor with custom widgets. Its homepages use sliders, carousels, a fullscreen image or video, while projects scroll horizontally or vertically. ThemeForest lists the last update on 11 August 2026. However, it has 54 sales and a 4.00 rating from three reviews, and the listing stops at WordPress 6.8. It costs $49.

Distraction-free blog themes for writers

Typology from meks is a text-based blog theme that looks good with or without images. It rates 4.90 across 5,584 sales, a strong record for a niche theme. The listing covers WordPress 7.0, and meks lets you try a full copy of the demo for free. However, the last update arrived on 6 December 2025. It costs $59.

Veen from EstudioPatagon is a minimal, lightweight blog theme built for speed, with AMP support and the block editor. It rates 4.93 across 1,926 sales, the best score among the blog themes here. The author updated it on 5 February 2026 with WordPress 7.0 support. At $89 it is also the most expensive blog theme on this page.

Uppercase from codesupplyco is a clean blog theme with a built-in dark mode. It rates 4.90 across 1,083 sales, and codesupplyco updated it on 1 September 2026 with WordPress 7.0 support. The item lists the block editor, Contact Form 7 and WPML, so it suits personal and content-driven blogs that want a calm reading view. It costs $59.

Clean lifestyle and magazine blogs

Authentic from codesupplyco is a minimal blog and magazine theme focused on content and readability. It has 9,434 sales at a 4.87 rating, the largest record among the blog themes here. codesupplyco updated it on 3 September 2026 with WordPress 7.0 support. Its demo library also covers more than 35 lifestyle, travel and food concepts. It costs $69.

Squaretype from codesupplyco is a modern, clean theme for content-based blogs and magazines. It rates 4.90 across 2,770 sales. For example, its Demo Switcher applies any of nine demos without touching your content. codesupplyco updated it on 2 September 2026 with WordPress 7.0 support, and the theme also adds styles for AMP pages. It costs $59.

Harmuny from Bdaia is a clean and minimal personal blog theme for writers, optimized for Gutenberg. It holds 686 sales at a 4.64 rating, and Bdaia updated it on 6 May 2026. Still, the listing stops at WordPress 6.9, and the record is small next to Typology or Authentic. It costs $69.

Which minimalist WordPress themes should you pick?

Selling products? Savoy has the largest shop record at $79, Goya costs just $29, and Claue has the highest shop rating. Building a portfolio? Karbon costs $39, Boyc suits agencies that like a clean grid, and Uncode brings the biggest record.
