Lifetime vs annual: which costs less?
Lifetime prices were on sale when we checked. The add-on cost $249 once, down from a listed $349. Meanwhile, Astra Pro + AI cost $279, the Essential Toolkit $549 and the Business Toolkit $799. Their listed prices are $449, $899 and $1,299.
So when does lifetime pay off? For the add-on, $249 equals about 3.6 years of the $69 plan. Likewise, two years of Astra Pro + AI cost $99 plus $149, which is $248. As a result, its $279 lifetime deal pays for itself early in year three.
However, “lifetime” has a limit. The add-ons stay yours, with updates and support. But the AI platform and the included hosting run for three years and then renew annually. Similarly, the free domain lasts one year, and standard renewal fees apply after that.
Does Astra Pro have an unlimited sites plan?
No. None of the current plans is unlimited. Instead, the limits are 3, 10 and 1,000 websites. For most agencies, though, 1,000 websites will feel close to unlimited.
