Looking for dark mode HTML templates? This month we went back to 46 HTML templates we have reviewed that mention a dark version. Four of them are no longer on sale, and 11 older reviews could not be matched to a live item page. Then we opened the ThemeForest page of the 31 that are still live. We kept only templates whose own item page names dark mode or a dark version and that got an update in the last 18 months. The result is 13 dark mode HTML5 templates, each with a full review and a price checked in September 2026.

We also dropped 18 live templates. Eight do not name dark mode on their item page. In addition, eight have not been updated since February 2024 or earlier. Finally, two are not plain HTML: Silk is an Angular and React kit, and Nexsas (reviewed as NextSaaS) is a Next.js template. Prices on this page run from $10 to $39.

How to choose a dark mode HTML template

Dark mode means the template ships a dark color scheme next to the light one. Some templates add a switch, so visitors can toggle between the two. Others ship separate dark pages or dark home page demos, and you pick one when you build the site.

First, check which kind you get. For example, Aleric lets visitors toggle between light and dark modes, while Pitnik includes a dark version. Next, look at the last update date, because an old template may use an outdated Bootstrap version. Finally, weigh the rating against the sales count. A 5.00 from a small template is promising, but a 4.61 across 1,380 sales has faced far more buyers.

Dark mode HTML templates with the most sales on this page

These three have the largest sales counts on this page. Each one lists a dark version or dark mode on its item page.

Doccure from dreamstechnologies is a doctor appointment booking template with an admin dashboard. Its item page lists dark and light mode support. In addition, it has 1,380 sales and a 4.61 rating. The author updated it on 21 September 2026, and it costs $35.

Bauen from DuruThemes is an architecture and interior design template. Its item page lists dark and light versions, and its fullscreen slider demos come in both. Moreover, it holds a 4.95 rating across 1,265 sales. DuruThemes updated it on 27 March 2026, and it costs $39.

Pitnik from Dewwater is a social network and private community UI kit with live streaming pages. Its item page says a dark version is included. In addition, it holds a 4.46 rating across 710 sales. Dewwater updated it on 27 January 2026, and it costs $26.

Dark mode admin dashboard templates

Admin panels are often open all day, so a dark scheme is a common request. All three dashboards below list light and dark modes.

Paces from coderthemes lists built-in light and dark mode next to 25+ ready-made themes. It also comes in Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, React, Next.js, Angular, Blazor and Laravel versions. Moreover, it holds a 4.44 rating across 705 sales. coderthemes updated it on 11 May 2026, and it costs $24.

NexLink from layoutdrop is a CRM admin dashboard built on Bootstrap. Its item page lists light and dark mode support, and the author tagged it with dark mode. In addition, it holds a 4.67 rating across 253 sales. layoutdrop updated it on 24 March 2026, and it costs $14.

Aquiry from Codebucks lists light and dark mode support next to 9+ app pages and 95+ UI components. Moreover, it holds a 5.00 rating, although from a small base of 88 sales. Codebucks updated it on 26 April 2026, and it costs $15.

Dark mode agency and portfolio templates

Creative studios often pick a dark look for their showcase. Two of these three hold a 5.00 rating.

Aleric from AQLOVA is a digital agency and creative portfolio template. Visitors can toggle between light and dark modes, and its 62+ home pages come in dark and light versions. It holds a 5.00 rating across 549 sales. AQLOVA updated it on 17 December 2025, and it costs $12.

Aiero from ib-themes is built for AI agencies and technology companies. Its item page lists 36+ home pages, including dark and light mode. In addition, it holds a 5.00 rating across 222 sales. ib-themes updated it on 2 March 2026, and it costs $19.

Orisa from alithemes is a creative agency and portfolio template with Bootstrap 5 and GSAP animations. Its item page says it is dark and light mode ready. It has 214 sales but no rating yet. alithemes updated it on 12 August 2026, and it costs $19.

Newer dark mode templates for SaaS, consulting and communities

These four have no rating yet and smaller sales counts. Lutch is the cheapest pick on this page.

Sasico, also from ib-themes, is a SaaS and AI startup template. Its item page lists a dark and light version. So far, it has 81 sales. ib-themes updated it on 11 May 2026, and it costs $17.

Lutch from DSAThemes targets SaaS, software and startup sites. Its feature list includes light and dark mode. So far, it has 58 sales. DSAThemes updated it on 22 January 2026, and it costs $10.

Exrox from EnvyTheme is built for accounting and consulting firms. Its item page lists light and dark mode with theme switching. However, it has only 31 sales so far. EnvyTheme updated it on 10 September 2025, and it costs $35.

Social from coderthemes is a network and community template built on Tailwind CSS 4. Its item page lists dark and light mode support with a switch. However, it is new and has only 5 sales. coderthemes updated it on 28 August 2026, and it costs $22.

Dark mode switch or dark version: what is the difference?

A dark mode switch lets each visitor choose. A dark version is a separate set of pages, so you decide once for everyone. Therefore, read the item page before you buy. Then open the live demo and look for a toggle or for dark demo pages.
