Seven made the cut: five updated in 2026, one in 2025 and one proven bestseller with an honest warning. KnowHow and several older help desk themes did not, because their last update came between 2018 and 2020.

Docly from CreativeGigs is the focused sibling of Docy, made for API, plugin and software documentation. Moreover, it keeps the same reading tools, from dark mode to footnotes and hotspots. However, the forum moved to the Forumax plugin in 2026. It holds 1,167 sales at a 4.51 rating and costs $59.

Docfi from RadiusTheme is the most current theme here. It already lists WordPress 7.0, and version 1.1.3 shipped on 10 September 2026. In addition, it offers four homepages, two- and three-column docs layouts and a bbPress forum layout. It holds a 5.00 rating from five reviews and costs $49.

pixdocs from PixFort, the studio behind Essentials, launched this summer with three demos: documentation, help center and tutorials. Moreover, it runs on the free Elementor plugin and adds a theme builder and 500+ templates. However, it has only 12 sales and no ratings yet. It costs $67 on sale.

Support forum and Q&A themes

Tessera from egemenerd has the best forum tools in this list: solved topics, best answers, private replies and Awesome Support tickets. In addition, its knowledge base lets readers like or dislike each article. It lists WordPress 7.0, but the record is small, with three ratings. It costs $49.

InfoCenter from Fluent-Themes turns your site into a Q&A help desk, with best-answer picks, AJAX voting and a FAQ page. Moreover, it costs $39, the lowest price here, and holds a 4.75 rating. However, the latest release dates from 22 June 2025, and the listing stops at WordPress 6.8.

A proven bestseller with a caveat

Manual from pixelacehq has 4,323 sales and detailed access control, with public, members-only or user-specific documents. In addition, its live search highlights terms and shows trending searches. However, the latest release dates from 24 May 2024, and the rating is 4.06. It costs $59.

Which knowledge base WordPress theme should you pick?

Running docs, a forum and courses together? Docy covers all three for $89. Need plain product docs? Docly costs $59, and Docfi is the safest bet on WordPress 7 at $49. Building with Elementor? pixdocs is the newest and most polished. Support through a community? Tessera adds best answers and tickets, while InfoCenter runs a Q&A help desk for $39.
